Ellen-Terry "E.T." Bunnell

Ellen-Terry “E.-T.” Bunnell is a native of Richmond, VA. She graduated from The Collegiate School For Girls in 1958, and went on to major in Journalism at Mary Washington College. After College, she was active in Community affairs as a volunteer at RICHMOND FORWARD, a local political organization, and as a Member of THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA.

In 1963, “E.-T” became the first, actively selling female, licensed Life & Health Insurance Underwriter in Richmond, and was the first female member of the Richmond Association of Life Underwriters and completed courses for her Charter Life Underwriter’s “C.L.U.” Designation.

Continuing to break through Main Street’s glass ceiling, in 1970, “E.-T.” became the first female Trust New Business Representative for United Virginia Bank. She graduated from the American Institute of Banking with a degree in Estate Planning.

From 1973 to 1986, “E.-T” was the Southeastern Sales & Marketing Director for two Fortune 500 Companies, The Sterling Drug Company’s GIVENCHY Division and British American Tobacco’s GERMAINE MONTEIL Division. She won many outstanding awards annually for marketing & sale production, including the prestigious HUBERT AWARD, an International Award for Sales & Marketing Excellence, awarded to her in 1978 in Paris, FRANCE by the haute courtier designer, Hubert de Givenchy.

In 1986, she became a active Licensed Real Estate Agent and has received many Distinguished Achievers Awards from the Richmond Association of REALTORS and the Home Builders Association of Richmond. “E.-T.” presently holds a active Real Estate Broker’s License. She is currently a member of the Virginia and the Richmond Association of REALTORS and a member of the Central Virginia Multiple Listing Service.

In 1993, “E-T.” opened IMAGE CREATORS, a consulting firm, and has been assisting some of the Top Real Estate Agents in Richmond in developing their business and meeting their maximum sales potential. As part of the consulting services of IMAGE CREATORS, she has specialized in the Marketing of Properties and taking the Real Estate Transaction from Contract to Closing. She averages closing over 300 Transactions per year.

With her extensive background in Real Estate, it seemed a natural transition for “E.-T.” to form her own Title Company. She is the majority partner of VIRGINIA REAL ESTATE SETTLEMENT SERVICES, L.L.C. [better known as VARESS, L.L.C.] in October, 2002. Their first full year in the business, VARESS closed over $50 Million Dollars in Transactions, in 2004 topped that with $63 Million.
